Since joining Kendall/Heaton Associates in 1980, John O’Connell has managed a variety of project types, including corporate headquarter campuses; university office, classroom, library and research center facilities; a performing arts center, urban retail centers; and numerous high rise office buildings. He is respected for his management of complex projects, while fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and a focus on the client’s goals. John has been Chief Executive Officer of the firm since 2016.
Recent projects include CoStar Richmond Campus, American Airlines Headquarters, River Point Tower, and the Boston South Station office building and intermodal transportation center.
John is a registered architect in the State of Texas, five other jurisdictions and holds a NCARB certificate. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects.
