Dennis Alvarez joined Kendall/Heaton Associates in 2017 and has 13 years of management experience in commercial and institutional sector projects.

Since late 2019, Dennis has been working on Hudson’s Detroit, a project she is currently overseeing as principal. This 1,000,000 SF mixed-use development includes office space, retail facilities, and a luxury hotel and residential tower. The event levels of the Block building have the capability of hosting different theatrical events and shows. She has managed both the core and shell documentation as well as the interiors for the Event and Office portions of the project. Construction on Hudson’s Detroit began in 2017, with phased completion scheduled for 2025 and 2026.

Dennis was the Project Manager responsible for overseeing documentation for the interiors of the 18,064-seat Golden State Warriors arena (Chase Center) designed by Gensler (core & shell designed by Manica Architecture). The 834,000-square-foot event center includes VIP clubs, bars, concessions, retail spaces, suites, and lounges, as well as the home of Warriors offices, arena operations offices, and player’s practice campus. She was also responsible for overseeing the documentation of the Gatehouse – the front entrance to the project – a 5,700-square-foot retail space and broadcast studio designed by SHoP Architects that overlooks the main exterior public space of the Chase Center.

Dennis is a registered architect in the state of Texas. She is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and a founding member of the AIA Women in Architecture committee in Houston.
